الكفار وذنوبهم ومصيرهم في الآخرة من أبرز المواضيع القرآنية. في كل صفحة تقريبًا يواجه قارئ القرآن "العذاب" و "العذاب المؤلم" (عذاب أليم) الذي ينتظر الكافرين في الآخرة في مسكنهم الأبدي "النار". النار). واجب المؤمن في هذه الحياة هو الجهاد على الكافرين حتى يدفعوا ضريبة الحماية و "يشعروا بأنهم خاضعون" (القرآن 9: 29). يحذر القرآن المؤمنين من أخذ الكفار كأصدقاء أو حماة ، ويحظر زواج المؤمنين من غير المؤمنين (على الرغم من أن هذه الآية تعتبر تقليديا منسوخة جزئيا من قبل رجل مؤمن آخر يسمح للرجال المؤمنين بالزواج من مسيحيات ويهودية). يؤكد الحديث والسيرة على هذا العداء من خلال تصوير النبي على أنه يحارب باستمرار عدم إيمان المكيين الوثنيين وحلفائهم اليهود. وتحتوي السنة النبوية على العديد من الأمثلة على قتل الرسول وأصحابه للكفار وتعذيبهم ، وهذا ما يسمو بالسياسة الصالحة لدولة مسلمة مؤمنة. وفقًا للسنة ، فإن أفضل ما يمكن للكافرين أن يأملوه في ظل حكومة إسلامية هو مواطنة الذمة من الدرجة الثانية.

لاَ يُقْتَلَ مُسْلِمٌ بِكَافِرٍ
"A Muslim should not be killed for killing a non-Muslim." [At-Tirmithi]
Moreover, according to the view of the majority of the scholars may Allaah have mercy upon them the title (and rulings) “disbeliever” is applicable to a free non-Muslim under the Muslim rule. However, Abu Haneefah, and the scholars of his School of jurisprudence may Allaah have mercy upon them are of the view that a Muslim should be killed for killing a free non-Muslim under Muslim rule; their evidence is the two verses which the questioner mentioned.
Nonetheless, the correct opinion is that of the majority of the scholars may Allaah have mercy upon them that is based on the above Prophetic narration, which is a direct proof related to the case of dispute.

العنى الحقيقية ل"لَا إِكْرَاهَ فِي الدِّينِ"
When the children of a woman (in pre-Islamic days) did not survive, she took a vow on herself that if her child survives, she would convert it a Jew. When Banu an-Nadir were expelled (from Arabia), there were some children of the Ansar (Helpers) among them. They said: We shall not leave our children. فَٱقْتُلُوا۟ ٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ حَيْثُ وَجَدتُّمُوهُمْ
نصيبهم جهنم وبئس المصير
وَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ هُمْ وَقُودُ ٱلنَّارِ
فَٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ قُطِّعَتْ لَهُمْ ثِيَابٌ مِّن نَّارٍ يُصَبُّ مِن فَوْقِ رُءُوسِهِمُ ٱلْحَمِيمُ
يَجِيءُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ نَاسٌ مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ بِذُنُوبٍ أَمْثَالِ الْجِبَالِ فَيَغْفِرُهَا اللَّهُ لَهُمْ وَيَضَعُهَا عَلَى الْيَهُودِ وَالنَّصَارَى

لعن الله الغير مسلمين
Do they not then earnestly seek to understand the Qur'an, or are their hearts locked up by them?
لا يهديء الله الغير مسلمين
Those in whose hearts is a disease - thou seest how eagerly they run about amongst them, saying: "We do fear lest a change of fortune bring us disaster." Ah! perhaps Allah will give (thee) victory, or a decision according to His will. Then will they repent of the thoughts which they secretly harboured in their hearts.
وَمَن يُهِنِ ٱللَّهُ فَمَا لَهُۥ مِن مُّكْرِمٍ
If any do wish for the transitory things (of this life), We readily grant them - such things as We will, to such person as We will: in the end have We provided Hell for them; they will burn therein, disgraced and rejected.
شَرَّ ٱلدَّوَآبِّ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ فَهُمْ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ
وَٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ فَتَعْسًا لَّهُمْ وَأَضَلَّ أَعْمَٰلَهُمْ
That is because they hate the Revelation of Allah. so He has made their deeds fruitless.
Do they not travel through the earth, and see what was the End of those before them (who did evil)? Allah brought utter destruction on them, and similar (fates await) those who reject Allah.
